In the Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin, Umut Azad Akkel will show the exhibition Holding My Drink in the Corner from 13 June to 16 August 2026. The solo exhibition brings together several works, including site-specific works and a sculpture of scaffolding placed outside. Starting from questions of orientation, belonging and inclusion, the presentation combines personal and social experiences of migration and queer life reality. The space appears as a labyrinth of corners, in which protection, visibility and exclusion lie closely together.
