With Eberhard Havekost: User Interfaces. Works 1994-2019, the Museum Kurhaus Kleve shows an extensive posthumous retrospective of the work of the artist who died in 2019. The exhibition can be seen in Kleve from 14 June to 18 October 2026 and brings together groups of works from the years 1994 to 2019. Havekost is regarded as a precise observer of pictoriality and perception. His painting takes forms of digital surfaces and combines them with an often irritating, mysterious visual language. The show divides the oeuvre into several sections, making artistic developments as visible as the question of how the present shapes itself in the picture.
