The permanent exhibition presents the history of the Jewish communities in East Frisia and of Jewish elementary education. Through the preserved mikveh, religious and everyday objects, and the former kitchen of the Gottschalk family, it explains religious practice, holidays, and dietary laws. A further focus documents the exclusion, persecution, and murder of East Frisian Jewish women and men during the Nazi dictatorship, making individual fates visible as representative of the victims.
