In the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne, the exhibition B{L}OOMING is dedicated to flowering as a visual motif in the Baroque period. Still lifes, portraits and allegories are shown, which make visible the symbolic and aesthetic meaning of flowers in that epoch. The selection brings together works from its own holdings and from private collections, including some newly researched and restored works. A flower course also leads to other areas of the collection and draws the bow from the special exhibition to the permanent exhibition.
