The exhibition presents some 15 spatial installations by Hito Steyerl, created between 1999 and 2025. They offer a deep insight into the work of the media artist, who works at the interface of art, technology and social analysis. Her works address algorithmic control, technological exploitation, capitalism, climate crisis and war. In the Halle für aktuell Kunst in Hamburg, a hybrid imagery unfolds that combines documentary fragments with fictional elements. The staging uses bright and darkened areas to impressively convey the complex global power structures in the digital age.
