Pop Up Ausstellung: Gesicht einer Flucht brings accounts of flight together with artworks by Ez Eddin Omar. Under the title “Schau mich an – Gesicht einer Flucht”, asylum seekers show their faces and explain who they are and what drove them from their home countries; the presentation is complemented by memories from Germans who experienced flight and displacement during the Second World War and in the GDR. Ez Eddin Omar, born in 1977 in Syria, Kobani, Sharãn and Kurdish, presents a selection of works showing his life and his longing for his family and homeland. The travelling exhibition is on view from 28 September 2026 to 11 October 2026 in the Stahllager of Industriemuseum Lauf, Sichartstr. 5-25 in Lauf a.d. Pegnitz.
