The special exhibition "Wohin geht die Reise? – Travels from 1900 to 1970 not only as reflected by postcards" at Museum Viechtach examines the development of tourism in the Bavarian Forest as well as journeys from the region to Austria, Italy and the Mediterranean. The show places the postcard at the center as a travel medium across decades and demonstrates changing destinations, travel preferences and means of transport. The exhibition runs from 12 July to 31 October (Tue–Sun 14:00–16:00); opening: 12 July 2026; admission free.
