Beginning 1 May 2026, Hyperarousal presents a new presentation by Celeste Rapone at Esther Schipper in Berlin. It is the artist’s first exhibition with the gallery. The title refers to a state of heightened alertness and inner tension without defining it; the works appear to operate at the threshold between sensory stimulation and nervous unease.

The exhibition will be on view at Potsdamer Straße 81e through 20 June 2026. As a gallery exhibition, it forms part of Esther Schipper’s programme in Berlin and draws attention to painterly condensations in which sensation and irritation closely coexist.
