With Big Promises: Painted Film Posters from Ghana, the Städtische Galerie Rosenheim shows a selection of over 100 hand-painted posters from the collection of Dr Wolfgang Stäbler. The works combine local advertising painting with references to cinema, myth and international popular culture. The exhibition can be seen in Rosenheim from 28 June to 8 August 2026, at the Städtische Galerie Rosenheim, Max-Bram-Platz 2. It makes visible an independent visual language in which improvisation, narrative and visual exaggeration condense into a medium of their own.
