The Emil Schumacher Museum in Hagen is dedicating a solo exhibition to Rupprecht Geiger from 8 February to 7 June 2026. Under the title Color - Light - Energy, around 70 works from all creative phases can be seen, which make Geiger's consistent approach to pure color comprehensible. The focus is on the painting of an artist who is one of the most influential representatives of colour field painting in Europe. The exhibition places Geiger’s work in a dialogue with the museum and opens up an indirect encounter with Emil Schumacher, whose work marks another path of non-figurative art after 1945.
