In the Centre for Persecuted Arts in Solingen, the permanent exhibition “Persecuted Arts” is dedicated to the conditions of artistic work under political pressure and exclusion. The focus is on an art-historical perspective on works, biographies and contexts characterised by persecution. The exhibition will be on view from 1 January 2026 at Haus an der Wuppertaler Straße 160. It offers a continuous framework for perceiving artistic positions in the field of tension between memory, exile and cultural transmission.
