“Kunst für den Herzog!” is an art competition for amateur artists of all ages on the theme of Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen and Veste Heldburg. Participants are free in their choice of form and may engage with the architecture, personalities and stories surrounding the castle, as well as with personal experiences and feelings connected to Heldburg. Entries may include drawings, paintings, collages and photographs, among other formats. The submitted works will be exhibited at Veste Heldburg, potentially following a preselection, and museum visitors can vote for their favourites until the end of August.
