Developed jointly with the German Center for Astrophysics, this special exhibition introduces the planned underground research laboratory in the Lusatian granite. It explains why a site with as little vibration as possible is being sought at a depth of around 250 metres for highly sensitive measurements and the development of new microtechnologies, and how astrophysics and regional geology are thereby brought together.
