The Aliso Roman construction site reconstructs parts of the Roman main camp at Haltern directly behind the museum. The west gate, timber-and-earth rampart, and guardhouse were built on the basis of archaeological findings and using historical construction techniques, conveying the dimensions and construction methods of the ancient camp at a scale of 1:1.
