To mark the foundation’s 25th anniversary, the museum presents a selection spanning its collecting history from Romanticism to Impressionism. Selected works trace the development of the Kronberg painters’ colony from late Romanticism through plein-air painting to Impressionism; highlights include Jakob Fürchtegott Dielmann’s light-sensitive Rhine watercolours and works by Anton Burger, Philipp Rumpf, Fritz Wucherer, Nelson G. Kinsley and Philipp Franck.
