Drawing on the municipal art collection, which comprises more than 1,000 works, the exhibition asks what makes artworks meaningful to people. Artists, cultural practitioners, art enthusiasts, and regional cultural institutions selected works with which they have a personal connection; short statements accompany the exhibits and open up individual perspectives, thoughts, and associations. The result is a multivocal dialogue between art, the collection, and the urban community, presenting well-known and lesser-known works from new perspectives.
