The exhibition in the Marc-Aurel-Hett-Saal traces the technical development of wind instruments, particularly their profound transformation in the 19th century. It is based on a donation of 468 historical instruments; 147 exhibits are presented, ranging from the hunting horn and crescent horn to the tuba, saxophone, glass trombone and double bell.
