The exhibition is devoted to artfully designed welcome vessels from which guests at the Saxon court had to drink as a greeting. Silver goblets, as well as examples in glass, porcelain, and stone, tell of courtly drinking customs, regional places of use, and the representative function of these often whimsical Renaissance and Baroque objects.
