Drawing on around 130 works from its own collection and loans from the Akademie-Galerie Düsseldorf, the exhibition examines art education since the Düsseldorf Academy reopened in 1946. Painting, sculpture, photography, film, performance and hybrid forms provide a common thread for questions about craft training, artistic outlook, conceptual thinking and the relationships between teachers and students.
