After the end of the dinosaurs, mammals developed into the world’s dominant animal group and, with whales, sea cows and seals, also colonised the seas. Through original fossils and vivid depictions of life, the exhibition shows which familiar and unusual marine mammals once lived in the warm shallow sea of what is now North Rhine-Westphalia. It is part of the 2026 Palaeontological State Exhibition of North Rhine-Westphalia.
