The permanent exhibition uses biographies, personal testimonies and artworks to tell the history of psychiatry in Bremen. Its chronology extends from the beginnings of psychiatry through the medical crimes committed during National Socialism to the psychiatric reforms of the more recent past; together with the “Irrstern” memorial, the museum is also a place of remembrance.
