The exhibition Landmarks of Jewish History. A project space for Hamburg focuses on more than 400 years of Jewish life in the city. The Altona Museum shows how diversity, the legal framework and the development of the port have shaped the history of Jewish Hamburgers. At the same time, the project space asks how this past is told and remembered. It refers to striking places in the cityscape and to the long debate about having its own Jewish Museum for Hamburg. The permanent exhibition can be seen from 4 February 2026 in the Altona Museum at Museumstraße 23.
