In the Museum Tabakspeicher in Nordhausen, the exhibition “Curious treasures from another time. Rarities and things of the 18th and 19th centuries” shows selected objects with a view to their historical peculiarity. The title already refers to the appeal of the unexpected: things that tell of the everyday life of past centuries and today seem rare or peculiar. The exhibition can be seen from 20 June to 17 October 2026 in the Bäckerstraße 20. The course opens up access to material evidence of the 18th and 19th centuries and invites you to revisit familiar epochs through their unusual objects.
