The exhibition Arno Fischer – Photography in Göppingen shows the work of the photographer Arno Fischer (1927–2011) in a selection of central series. Picture sequences ranging from post-war Berlin to the Cold War and New York in the 1980s are on display. The focus is not on the spectacle, but on the silent density of everyday life. The focus will be on observations from the divided city of Berlin, reports from the Eastern Bloc and photographs for the magazine Sibylle. The exhibition will be complemented by works from Fischer’s surroundings, including works by Sibylle Bergemann and other companions. The exhibition will be on view at Filseck Castle in Uhingen from 31 January to 28 June 2026.
