The MMK Passau shows nearly 200 exhibits from the Klewan collection and asks why certain pictorial worlds touch and at the same time are devalued as kitsch. The exhibition spans the spectrum from popular images of the 19th century to pop art, examining feeling, consumption, memory and staging.
