The Kunsthalle St. Annen in Lübeck focuses on the picturesque work of Else Alfelt and Carl-Henning Pedersen. The exhibition Dimensions of Freedom shows how their visual languages developed from the experiences of European post-war modernism and from the environment of the CoBrA movement. Between May 23 and October 25, 2026, St. Anne Street displays 15 positions that think of freedom as an artistic, political and spiritual category, as well as the different manuscripts of the two artists: Pedersen’s expressive style and Alfelt’s reduced imagery shaped by natural and cosmos motifs.
