The installation “Absurdes Berliner Tagebuch ’64” by Italian painter Emilio Vedova (1919–2006) consists of asymmetrically sawn wooden panels painted on both sides and joined with iron hinges. The work was created in West Berlin in 1964 and reflects the division of the city. It has been part of the Berlinische Galerie collection since 2002.
