The exhibition Inscrit – Writing with the Body in the Dance Museum of the German Dance Archive Cologne is dedicated to the work of Raimund Hoghe and his view of physicality in dance. The focus is on photographs by Rosa Frank, who has accompanied Hoghe’s work over many years, complemented by references to other artistic collaborations. It shows a life between stage, writing and pictorial art that visibly interrogates traditional norms of dance. The tour presented in Cologne traces how Hoghe brought marginalized bodies into focus with its own distinctive body aesthetics.
