More than 100 works provide an introduction to around 60 years of art history and invite visitors to discover classical modernism from a personal perspective. Built over decades by Arnd and Erika Siegel, the collection tells of artistic departures as well as quiet and turbulent times. With its transfer to the Hanseatic City of Stade and the Museumsverein Stade, the holdings are made permanently accessible as public cultural heritage. The exhibition also explores the development of the collection and the people behind it, including Ingrid Ziplies, who accompanied Arnd Siegel in later years.
