In Berlin, Künstlerhaus Bethanien will show the exhibition Shunsaku Hayashi: Hovers from 12 June 2026. The focus is on a work that examines movement, body and tilting moments between departure and exhaustion. Hayashi combines painting and animation into a visual world in which jumping appears not only as a gesture, but as a recurring motif. The presentation unfolds between film and large-scale paintings. The images look contemporary and archaic at the same time, as if they were between mural painting, ritual and sporting choreography. This creates a space in which dynamics, repetition and transformation are mutually reinforcing. The exhibition will be shown until 9 August 2026.
