In the Horst Janssen Museum in Oldenburg, the permanent exhibition Horst Janssen – Neudiscovered! is dedicated to the artist’s work in a clearly structured, contemporary mediated form. Since 13 November 2020, drawing and graphics have been the focus of a tour that combines different aspects of Janssen’s work. Four subject areas, alternating original suspensions and insights into his printing techniques open up the view of Janssen as a draftsman, eraser, observer and idiosyncratic author. The presentation makes visible how closely the image and text are entangled in his work.
