“Gabriel Chaile. Brenda” presents Brenda, 2022 by Gabriel Chaile, a work made of clay, bricks, metal structure and sand. Gabriel Chaile develops a sculptural and social practice from traditional, elemental materials such as clay, mud and metal; an important strand of his work consists of sculptures that also function as ovens. Brenda is named after Chaile’s sister, has stylized facial elements referring to pre-Columbian artifacts from Tucumán, and also serves for gathering, cooking, baking bread and eating together. The work has been on view at DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam since 25 April 2026.
