Die Wirklichkeit ist subjektiv is the first major retrospective of the photographer Angela Neuke, thirty years after her early death. The exhibition is based on her extensive estate, which was acquired for the Landesmuseum collection in 2021. Neuke documented social upheavals from the mid-1960s onward and focused in particular on major political events and their staging in the media. She became known for series on the student revolt in the Federal Republic, the suppression of the “Prager Frühling”, and the project “Staatstheater – Mediencircus”. The exhibition is on view at the LVR-Landesmuseum Bonn from 12 May to 12 September 2027.
