In the multi-part exhibition ‘alle sichtbaren dinge (sind nur masken aus karton)’ Jeremias Heppeler addresses the art market, artworks and collective practices through sculpture, video and performance. The central work ‘Der Wal’ is presented as a room-filling painting printed on tarpaulin and is performatively divided at the vernissage, with visitors able to claim or upcycle parts of the image. The show includes video works and masks originating from his international projects. Through these strategies Heppeler playfully questions contemporary functions of art.
