“Weltbilder im Wandel” presents landscape depictions from the past five centuries at Oldenburg Castle. Paintings and drawings by J. H. W. Tischbein, Erich Heckel and Gerhard Richter are shown alongside contemporary video art and installations. The exhibition examines the interplay between artistic representations of landscape, the worldviews of their respective periods, and ways of seeing real space. Historical works from the collection of the Landesmuseum Kunst & Kultur Oldenburg are presented together with works by internationally active artists; mythology, ecology and agriculture are among its thematic fields.
