“Spielwiese Kunst” opens up new ways of engaging with the collection of the Städtische Galerie Bietigheim-Bissingen, whose focal points are artistic linocuts and regional art. Unusual exhibition designs and seating arrangements change perspectives on the works: visitors can, for example, swing in a hammock or cycle on an exercise bike. Participatory activities such as puzzles, arranging still lifes and touching sculptures invite visitors to experience art through play. The exhibition takes its starting point from Friedrich Schiller’s idea that a person is fully human where they play.
