“What Is in Danger of Disappearing Becomes an Image: Humanity – Nature – Art” considers transience as a central theme in art. Landscapes, clouds, snow, trees and encounters capture fleeting moments and, in the context of climate change, also appear as images of an environment undergoing rapid transformation. The exhibition brings together well-known, rarely shown and previously unpresented works from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries from several collections. It invites visitors to see landscape not only as a beautiful view but also as an endangered ecosystem.
