This section of the exhibition examines the history of police battalions that were trained in Prora for a time and later deployed in occupied countries across Europe. It documents their training and deployments, as well as victims’ perspectives, through photographs, photo albums, film documents and recollections. It also focuses on Soviet prisoners of war as a group of victims long neglected in accounts of National Socialist persecution and extermination policies.
