To mark the 75th anniversary of the “subjektive fotografie” series initiated by Otto Steinert, the Moderne Galerie presents more than 150 photographs from its own and international collections. The exhibition traces the beginnings of artistic post-war photography and examines the tension between experimentation, an autonomous visual language and humanist representation, as well as its particular European significance for Saarbrücken.
