Historical views of Scheeßel by Ernst Müller-Scheeßel are juxtaposed with contemporary photographs of the same motifs by Michael Korinth. The comparative tour reveals which houses and streets have remained virtually unchanged and how profoundly other parts of the town have transformed; at the same time, it critically examines Müller-Scheeßel’s connection to the Heimat movement.
