At Kunstverein Ludwigsburg, Petri Ala-Maunus shows current works under the title History an Utopia of a Landscape, which think of landscape not as an image, but as a multi-layered pictorial system. His painting combines monumental natural motifs with a carefully constructed surface and thus creates a tension between beauty and threat. Between June 26 and September 17, 2026, a contemporary art position can be seen in Ludwigsburg that makes nature experienceable as a condensed imagination. Ala-Maunus’ images unfold forests, waterfalls, clouds and mountains into an independent, almost exaggerated landscape experience.
