At the Städtische Wessenberg-Galerie in Konstanz, the exhibition focuses on memory as a moving process. On display are works from the 20th and 21st centuries that negotiate personal and collective experiences, present and past as well as the tensions between preservation and forgetting. The show is complemented by works by contemporary artists created especially for the occasion. They make visible how memories are told, changed or even overwritten. This creates a polyphonic access to what remains and what eludes.
