At the House of the Graphic Collection, Marcel van Eeden presents a 70-part cycle of works on nationalism, colonialism and racism. It takes as its starting point the story of the North African colonial soldier Abdel Kader Ben Lahcen, whose biography extends from the Franco-Prussian War to the present day in Freiburg. Artistic photography and historical quotations make long-hidden colonial entanglements visible.
