On the occasion of herman de vries’s ninety-fifth birthday, the ZERO foundation presents works by the Dutch ZERO artist, who has used lowercase letters exclusively for more than seventy years. His art directs an alert gaze toward nature, places, and found objects, presenting them as “factual materials” without adding an interpretation. The exhibition includes plants from the work “16 dm²,” hail-damaged leaves, differently coloured Lower Franconian sandstone, as well as travel journals and works on transience. The exhibition is curated by Barbara Könches.
