At the MAKK in Cologne, a comprehensive presentation of its own jewellery collection opens for the first time with fascination of jewellery. Around 370 selected works provide an overview of 7,000 years of jewellery art, from early gems to contemporary positions. The exhibition arranges jewellery not only chronologically, but also on themes such as symbolism, memory, luxury, conventions, gender and identity. This creates a multi-layered view of a medium that combines aesthetic, social and personal meanings. The collection presentation can be seen from 18 February 2025 at the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln at the An der Rechtschule 50667 Cologne.
