In the Von der Heydt-Museum in Wuppertal, the collection is presented under the title “Times and Spaces. Classics of the Collection. Ruisdael to Giacometti”. The exhibition shows selected paintings and sculptures from the 17th century to the 1960s and organizes them not strictly chronologically, but along artistic connections and geographical references. This creates a course through central places and epochs of European art history. Works by Gauguin, Monet, Kirchner and Giacometti, among others, exemplify the special status of the collection, which the museum has displayed in a new form since 2024.
