From 25 March 2026, a copy of the Connection Machine CM-2 can be seen at ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe. The presentation in Karlsruhe focuses on an early chapter in media art and computer history and links technical development with questions about networked computing power. The model from the KIT collection makes a once visionary machine experienceable as an object. In the foyer of the ZKM, Lorenzstraße 19, the installation can be seen until August 2, 2026 and refers to the beginnings of what is today associated with AI and supercomputing.
