At PETRI Berlin, the Berlin sculpture find is shown as a special exhibition. On display are 16 sculptures of classical modernism discovered in 2010 during archaeological investigations in a basement filled with bomb debris near the Red City Hall. The works were long regarded as lost and were defamed and confiscated by the National Socialists as “degenerate art”. The exhibition thus highlights an important testimony to the persecution of modern art in Berlin.
