In the Duke Anton Ulrich Museum in Braunschweig, the exhibition Cabinet of Wonders. Lothar Osterburg back from Brooklyn from April 24 to August 30, 2026 shows printmaking in a field of tension with other media. The artist from Braunschweig develops picture spaces reminiscent of chambers of art and wonder and combine historical references with contemporary experience. Between monumental settings and small cabinets, dream, memory and fantasy enter into complex relationships. The show points to Osterburg’s central groups of works and to his precise, often surprising transformation of everyday materials into art.
