In the Stadtmuseum Hattingen, the photographic works of Gudrun Kemsa and Martina Sauter meet in the exhibition “Reality and fiction”. The focus is on how reality becomes visible in the picture and at the same time appears to be shaped. The show combines documentary perspectives with constructed visual worlds and narrative moments. This gives a close look at the possibilities of photography between observation, staging and interpretation. It can be seen in Hattingen from June 6 to July 12, 2026.
